Processor module MTAX-SoM-AM335x is developed on processor TexasInstruments Sitara AM3352 / AM3354 / AM3358 / AM3359. It is based on the ARM coreCortex A8, processor also includes two additional 32-bit cores RISC (PRU) with 200 MHz frequency each. The module is intended to create automation systems, human-machine interface, multimedia devices, etc.

Choose loading method:

SYSBOOT [4..0]signalsin the AM335x processor are used to select loading mode and order, they are read at power-up. Mode SYSBOOT [4..0] = b10011is installed on thismodule by  pullup resistors 100K. To change the loading mode, you can pull up smaller denomination resistors (eg. 1K) to the desired value or use XBOOT jumper on the debug board. The table lists signalsconformity on the module, processor and development board:

Connecting UART

To observe the loadingprocess of the processor module MTAX-SOM-AM335x, before toturn it on (power supply), you must connect the outputs of the UART0 module to a PC serial port through the corresponding transmitter (UART ↔ RS-232 or UART ↔ USB). Connection order of the contact sockets X1, according to UART0 of the module, indicated in the table below:
